EAST students have collaborated with local
pantries to map them out on ArcGIS. They are mapping them
out with the goal of helping others.
Most people who need to locate pantries do not
have the ability to research the best pantries
to go to.
They have used ArcGIS to map out the local pantries
using the schools chromebooks for mapping and
finding local pantries
They have worked together on the maps, putting ideas and places together to successfully start mapping. These maps are being given out and posted in convenient locations for people in need. The project also used ArcGIS to map recovery homes. This can be used to help people who are struggling with addiction.
The recovery homes are being mapped out through the state and in the future it is possible to map more states.
